Government-funded AI training, run by a partner provider.
This isn’t our course. A registered training provider we work with runs a government-funded, eight-week programme in using AI at work, finishing with three Level 5 AI units. If your company is registered in England and your people are on its PAYE payroll, it’s £0 to the business and £0 to them. If that’s of interest, here’s who qualifies — tell us and we’ll introduce you. If it isn’t, our own course is open to anyone, anywhere.
England-based companies only — the funding doesn’t cover Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Straight answer
Who actually delivers it
The provider delivers the training, assesses the work, awards the units and makes the funding claim. Your agreement is with them, and each learner signs their own agreement with them. They’re a registered training provider, inspected and audited like any other.
We don’t deliver any of it. What we do is simpler: hear what you’re after, tell you honestly whether it looks like a fit, and introduce you. If it isn’t a fit we’ll say so — and our own 8-week course is always there.
What it costs
£0 to your business. £0 to your people.
The training is paid for by UK government skills funding, claimed by the provider. Your business isn’t invoiced, nothing is recharged to a cost centre, and there’s no learner contribution. The provider confirms the funding position before anyone enrols, so it’s checked rather than assumed.
The one hard limit: England only. The company has to be registered in England and the people based there. Skills funding works differently in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

- On your PAYE payroll, with a contract that runs at least to the end of the programme
- Aged 19 or over
- Three or more years’ UK residence, with the right to work in the UK
- Spending at least 50% of their working hours in England
- Not on another government-funded skills programme at the same time
- Still employed by you at the end — the final sign-off depends on it

Is this trainrs.ai’s course?
No. It’s run by a registered training provider we work with. They deliver it, assess it, award the units and claim the funding; we introduce you and step back. Our own 8-week course is a separate, paid programme.
What does it cost us?
Nothing, if you qualify. It’s fully funded by the UK government — £0 to the business and £0 to your people. There’s no invoice, no purchase order and no recharge to a cost centre.
What do people finish with?
Three Level 5 AI units, assessed and awarded by the provider, with certification through the awarding body.
Do our people need a technical background?
No. It’s built for working professionals — managers, ops, HR, finance, sales, marketing — not technologists.
How much time is involved?
Eight weeks. Each of the three units carries 30 guided learning hours — time taught or supervised by a tutor, in person or live online — 90 in all: a two-hour live session a week, and the rest supervised in the provider’s digital classroom, where a tutor is always available during working hours. The provider sets the exact training plan with you before anyone starts.
Remote, or at our offices?
Delivered live online by the provider. If you’d want it in person, say so when you enquire and we’ll ask.
How much admin lands on us?
Less than it sounds. You put forward the people you’d like trained, register for a government funding account, sign the provider’s employer agreement, release people during working hours, and confirm at the end that the training happened. The provider walks you through all of it.
We’re in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland — can we use it?
Not this funding — it’s England-only. Our own course is available everywhere.
What if we don’t fit the criteria?
Tell us anyway. Some cases are borderline and the provider makes the final call. If it’s not a fit, our own course is open to anyone.
